Verbatim: The U.S. Constitution for Regular Folks

On Constitution Day, 17 September 2012, the 225th anniversary of the writing of the U.S. Constitution, "the oldest living national document still in force,” T.S. Grant will be reciting this historic document from memory—from "We the People" to the last amendment in the Constitution.

Whether you have never read the U.S. Constitution, confess to have read bits and pieces, or profess to "carry it with me all the time," come join him on this oratorical tour de force as we celebrate the document that has held our country together for two hundred twenty-five years!

This public feat has only been performed by one person, T.S. Grant, and was last achieved in 2007, in the city of Philadelphia, the “birthplace” of the U.S. Constitution. Quite possibly his last recitation of the U.S. Constitution, on this significant day, T.S. Grant wants to end this oratorical adventure in the city and state where he resides.

T.S. Grant will be joined on stage by former students Kobina Arthur (Beltsville, MD - High Point High School), Stephanie Jean (Beltsville, MD - High Point High School), Kelly Johnson (Washington, D.C - American University) and Joslyn Nedeau (High School Senior - High Point High School).

The first 200 registrants will receive a signed copy of T.S. Grant’s pocket-sized translation of the U.S. Constitution, in other words . . . The United States Constitution for Regular Folks. Your book will be waiting for you at Will Call and will be used as your ticket for the September 17th performance.
